Google Messes Up Blogger

Message from Google, which owns Blogger: "Your browser is no longer supported by Blogger. Some parts of Blogger will not work and you may experience problems. If you are having problems, try Google Chrome."
In order to coerce us all into using Chrome, Google has made a complete pig's ear of putting new posts on Blogger using IE8. It's virtually impossible. Looks like the end for London Art News. It was a hobby, not a business.

But you managed to publish this one ...

Just about. The comments moderation facility is also awful.

I can't set the size of my pictures, give them titles or do all the other things I used to do. It's hopeless.

It would be a shame if you stopped blogging. Have you tried using Firefox (widely considered a better browser than Chrome or IE)?

Hi, Simon

Thank you for your comment. I've resolved the browser problem. I had IE set for Blogger compatibility. Soon as I deleted that, the Blogger page unscrambled. But user-friendly it is not! I wasted half an hour today trying to post a 200x290pixel graphic with text beside it in my usual way. Blogger resized the graphic and posted it centrally, then put all the text on the bottom. After loads of fiddling about in HTML mode, the whole thing wiped itself out! Nothing. I gave up at that point. Google has ruined Blogger.

Hi, Weggis

I have to post pictures in HTML mode and add title="". It works OK so long as I post large graphics centrally, but 200pixels wide pictures still want to put text beneath them, rather than alongside, which is a pain. And the title link seems to be gone for good. The main posting page is almost completely useless.

The Shakespeare post took over an hour to do. I gave up half way through and complained to Google, then tried again later. Another half hour. Got there in the end.

Still not a happy bunny.
